    Alcidion Group is a young dynamic public listed company (ASX:ALC) that develops world leading health software products and delivers health IT services focused on utilising mobile technology and data analytics across integrated health systems to assist clinicians deliver safer health care and achieve better health outcomes for patients. We have operations across Australia as well as in New Zealand and the UK.

    We are looking for an experienced senior financial accountant to manage our small finance team in Sydney that provides financial shared services to support all divisions in the Alcidion Group. Reporting to the CFO, the role has full responsibility for operational accounting systems and processes across our international group.

    The role will work collaboratively with the Alcidion Group CEO, Divisional General Managers and the senior management teams within each division to support annual business planning and provide monthly financial reporting and performance analysis for each division and the consolidated group.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Managing a team of 3 finance / admin staff as well as outsourced overseas services
    • Accurate and timely preparation of divisional and group monthly financial reporting
    • Group cash flow forecasting and management including proactive management of project billing, WIP and debtors
    • Group budgeting in support of annual business planning
    • Managing all Australian, NZ and UK regulatory compliance and reporting
    • Implementing appropriate internal controls through process improvements
    • Management of payroll processing
    • Managing group insurance cover, asset leasing and office leases
    • Preparation of audit file and liaison with external auditors
    • Researching technical accounting issues to ensure compliance
    • Supporting the CFO as required
    You will be CA / CPA qualified with a minimum of 5 years relevant post qualification experience in a corporate environment including group financial reporting role with consolidated reporting experience. You will have excellent technical accounting knowledge and experience across all accounting functions and payroll.

    As well as being a great team leader, you communicate effectively with business managers, due to your commercial experience and understanding. You have strong analytical thinking combined with a hands-on approach and good attention to detail. You must have advanced MS Excel skills with a flair for effective presentation of financial information to management.
