I’ve read that item U linked for me SMR and have come to the same conclusion re waiting on the results
The tectonic geomorphology is quite variable with the potential for the Cerro Galen trapdoor collapse to influence the timing of the Candelas down-thrown block movement being definitely there if not the main influence as one would think all recent 6Ma tectonic activity is related to the massive CG ignimbrite eruption.and the consequent hinged trapdoor collapse. Just how extensive such tectonic influence is what’s in question.
GLN However seems fairly confident the strata continuity, bar the drop in basement height, and brine
containment exist at the lower levels.
In fact I’ll be glass half full and reiterate my view that hydrothermals may now feed this fault zone and consequently feed these strata.
The doubt that surrounds the current drilling is that the basement level is not known and therefore there is some interpretation as to how this down-thrown block has come about and at WHAT STAGE in the geomorphological development of Candelas it occurred as well as the volcanic activity that filled this lower level.
GLN seems adamant, well their consultants anyway, that this block drop apparently did develop with the strata intact and not the other way around with the block dIropping first and then the strata development.
The support for this would would be the very thick sand and ? Zone that seems to be saturated with fluids as per the CS survey and should lie above the dropped block strata.
Now just how these lower strata might be charged with decent brine is the question. Has the ignimbrite Li been able to be additive by leaching into this zone somehow and is their a hydrothermal feeder that enables the same high grade Li brines as in the upper zone at hole 1, IF that’s what’s happening.
As per Ur comment I guess we wait and hopefully quite soon all will be revealed.
