Are you assuming the orange band is the brine to suit your theory, because no matter how long I look at that diagram, I can’t see it being correct, I don’t think it’s a good example to use for what is essentially a liquid.
Stupid question, but how does the brine flow uphill?
Using that diagram as the example, the brine should flow to the lowest point and fill up from there, essentially levelling out.
Or i’m Reading all this completely wrong.
