Thanks Mattila - you are correct, I was using the standard ppm in my head. So let's have another go at this;
Note that i am using conservative spatial dimensions.
10km strike, 2km width, 200m vertical thickness,brine SG 1.25, porosity 25%, grade 0.08% and specific yield 10%.
10,000 x 2,000 x 200 = 4Bm3 aquifer volume. @ .08% Li = 3.2 Mt contained Li. Then 3.2 x 5.3 = 17Mt contained Li2CO3 Eq. So at a 10% yield this gives us a final number of 1.7Mt drainable Li2CO3 Eq. Value (as carbonate) at $20k USD/t = $34 Billion USD (smiley face).
