I don't know why you think this will affect the adoption of EVs...?
The simple fact is that as soon as one can buy an EV that is equivalent to an ICE vehicle, for LESS money, they will.
Price parity will likely be here in only a few short years; then it is game on.
...I'll probably buy some sweet ICE cars for cheap cheap just for the fun factor, when prices start to collapse!

I'm not convinced. it is the petrol station model. It is far less efficient and far more complex.
