Broken ground does not drill easily with diamond drills especially. As you drill the hole collapses on it self and small rocks can jam up the drill string, you will need to case the hole as you drill it if its really bad ground (case the hole = sleeve it with steel pipe to stop the rods jamming up. The hole needs to be cased anyway for pumping out the brine, but the broken ground makes this tricky. This is why an experienced crew in drilling the area is a very big plus.
