The reserves in the Congo are estimated to be around 3.5 million metric tons.  Canada is largely unproven and unmined with a paltry 250000 estimated reserves without much proving .  but it is driving distance to Detroit Rock City whereas the Congo is a war zone in the middle of nowhere with massive transport and security costs/sovereign risk.

Cobalt isnt oil, they wont start a war to take it . . If Cobalt Camp turns out to have a lot of proven results then it's all downhill from there. The biggest issue will be TrumpTradeWar (tm) with Canada.
