What recent news would you like to highlight to investors attending?
2018 has been transformational for MEI as the company built through acquisition its Canadian cobalt portfolio and has since commenced its maiden exploration program.
The field season began with ground and airborne geophysics to instigate our target generation program across the entire portfolio and has continued to drilling.
What are your key goals for the next 3, 6 and 12 months?
3 Months:
Continuing with maiden exploration programs across portfolio.
6 Months:
Further exploration of portfolio.
12 Months:
Further development of portfolio.
What do you see as the key risks and challenges facing your company at the moment and how are you overcoming these?
Key risk as with all exploration is not discovering anything! However as a company we have derisked a lot of the major challenges exploration companies face – our assets are located in mining friendly Canada, in a great location which has a historic track record of cobalt production.
Battery metals is becoming a crowded space with many companies switching commodity focus to join the EV revolution so there is a risk that the sector may become overcrowded.
