As for that idiotic interview in which Scott was berated on the phone, it’s comical. I reached out to Scott about it, he firstly stated he didn’t even know he was being recorded, and to be frank he held his composure pretty well in my view with the tone and style of questioning he was subjected to.
The skeptics around Scott should reach out to him (as I have on several occasions), he is a VERY proud Zimbabwean that wants to see the country do well, you can sense this from his twitter page if anything.
The cynics look at the history of others who have done business dealings in Zimbabwe and the outcome. Smuggling of diamonds is the one that everyone mentions. This is a whole different ball game and has the ability to be a large positive change for the country (if proven).
Invictus and Scott will have Zimbabwean cynics for a long time, it’s comes down to going about the daily business and changing people’s opinions one by one. It’s an uphill battle but it has to start somewhere.
