Well if that was in 2000 then surely the Heartlink patents for the heart rate analysis would not have much longer to run? And if that's case I'm not sure BPO will get much mileage out of them. Investor Presentation on ASX says BPO will have exclusive license to Heartlink patents for the USA, Israel, Canada, Singapore, Australia & NZ; initially 2 years and then followed by a further 25 year license. This is strange as I thought patents only lasted for 20 years....; that would make the life of Heartlink patents about 40 or 50 years....?!
