If they want to drill deeper will they have to pull out the production tubing first?
Also I believe there is a drilling method using coiled tubing and underbalanced mud. Could that be used?
The 40 deg hole angle should have exposed more of the formation to the well bore, enhancing recovery.
Just my vague thoughts.....
