I think you are overplaying the impact of the entry into the ASX300. In the context of the index it's going to be a very insignificant component, so any index arbitrager will likely not trade SRK due to this and the lack of liquidity in the stock - is not worth the transaction cost. They would only start to take notice if it became a larger component in the index.
Stick to focusing on the fundamentals of the business. they may take a while to be realised, but if you're patient i think you will be rewarded.
