Retroactive draft ruling could cost Aurizon $1b: CEO
Aurizon is cutting its haul of coal following a draft ruling by the Queensland Competition Authority that could retroactively cost the company almost $1 billion. The rail freight company has posted a half-year profit increase of 52 per cent, totalling more than $280 million. Aurizon CEO Andrew Harding told Sky News that the coal industry is still growing in Australia, despite constricting regulation.
