Peter111....If I amy attempt to answer your question...The Funder has put up approx $6.2 million on this case....because by his very description he is a risk taker in return for a profiton the chance of a win..thats what he does for a living......
Now, when he has done his bit,, he is just sitting back waiting to see if his punt has paid off....Obviously he still feels some confidence of some sort of a win...If that happens he will get back all his costs, paid for by loser ie Murchison,, and then reap a big percentage of settlement (my mail is that terms are 60% to 70%)...Why would you walk away for just your costs...he's expecting that anyway...I am a devout MMX'er but even I concede that chm are going to get something, either by way of settlement or judgement..my honest belief is around 16 to 20 mill.....Now if I am right why would you "Walk" as the funder for just your costs..The answer is You would'nt!!!!....hang in there either by negotiation or settlement and get back your $6 mill costs plus about 60% of 16 to 20 (10 to 12 mill)..leaving chm with around 6 to 8.... and therefore just about the end for chm...But lets face it...this coy was only rsurected to persue litigation.never seriously gonna do anything else..
