Check the results live and the 10mins between each announcement for the top10 was a drag!
I have had some time to digest the results and have a few thoughts.
I was personally a little disappointed, I had predicted Single fin to overtake little dove but I really thought it was a chance of a top 3, if we consider that 1 and 2 last year swapped places but number 3 (little dove) slid to number 11 then it is a little underwhelming. Single fin improved from 12 I think last year, not sure about atomic but I think it also improved.
Balter was the clear winner, with it's entire range making the list. I feel like they will sell out this year as they try to grow bigger but don't have the capital to build a larger brewery.
Cans! boy oh boy do we need a canning facility, 7 of the top 10 are tinnies!
a strong result for IPAs but sleeping giant no where to be found, says to me they need a re-brand or a tweak and a relaunch as a New England IPA or a West Coast IPA - preferably in tins!
Single fin will challenge for top spot next year, I can almost guarantee it improves on 5.
A slightly poor result for WA but giving it is largely a east coast dominated list, that said Gage by far outperformed any local brewery which shows their expansion and marketing over-east is working.
Overall a solid result, hopefully we have a canning facility and a few new releases this year to add to the list and see single fin mature into a consistent top5 performer.
