Inc (ASX:RMD) reported net income of $US88.21 million for the year to
June 30 2006 compared with $US64.79m in the previous year.
Revenue was $US607m an increase of 43pc over the $US425.5m
previously.
Earnings per share was $US1.22 against US94c previously.
Chief executive Peter C. Farrell said in the fourth quarter sales
in the Americas increased to a record $US89.6m.
This represents a 44pc increase over the prior corresponding
quarter, which reflects the continued strong demand for both the nasal
and full face masks and the S8 flow generator platform.
Rest of world sales, including incremental revenue
contributions from the acquisitions of Saime, Pulmomed and PolarMed,
totaled $US81.6m, a 29pc increase.
"I can also report that we are finally starting to get excellent
traction with our focus on sleep-disordered breathing in the cardiac
market," Dr Farrell said.
"Finally, our strategies for diagnosing and treating
sleep-disordered breathing in both the diabetic and occupational health
markets are starting to pay dividends.
"We still remain very excited about the continually evolving
potential of the global sleep market."
Resmed shares last traded at $6.20.
