I have recently received confirmation that I am to receive a nice cash payment resulting from class action by shareholders against a fund manager who's prospectus was not quite up to scratch. The shareholders claimed that thy suffered loss as a result of the actions of the board.
I discussed some of TAM board behavior with the man at Slater & Gordon who ran the successful class action which produced a $70 mil payout.

It would only take 50 small shareholders stumping up say $200 each to pay Slater & Gordon for investigating the TAM board's behavior and assessing whether their behavior was problematical and worth pursueing.
If a case is found to exist then a litigation funder might be found to carry the cost of litigation on the basis that if there's a win they get their money back plus a margin.

Anyone interested in keeping the b**** honest ??
