Humm, had a client call me late last Friday saying a motor was not working and must be something wrong with it. Didn't sound right I suggested this that and the other, he say no electrician was there and it's the motor tripping the circuit.
OK I said I would he down the next day with spare motor, after getting off the phone sent him a text saying to check it all again in the morning before I head down. Next morning get a text, no still not working.
Including a little time to get the spare motor it's a one hour drive, when I arrive customer is not there so check the motor it's not working. Plug the spare in, it's not working. Suspect the circuit breaker is tripped but switch box is locked.
Client finally arrives, yep circuit breaker has tripped. Reset, start the motor and it's running, let it run for a few minutes and no problems.
45 minute drive back home. They are lucky I am a nice guy and only charged for 2 hours and not with penalty rates
