It does vary around the planet.....Black active is common in many countries...I like the Greek transportables I lived in for a couple years in Saudi.....Nice enough places - big and comfortable....but the Italian crews who put them together...wrapped the wires around all the switch posts without screwing them down afterwards....I only discovered it when our house filled with smoke...from the melted switch housing and adjacent vinyl panels.
