SYDNEY, Indonesia Today - Indo Mines Ltd claimed Regent of Kulonprogo has approved its Environmental Impact Assessment (AMDAL) report in relation to the Jogjakarta Iron Project.
“This important milestone provides the green light for the Iron Project to proceed within the specified boundaries of the submission,” Managing Director Martin Hacon said on a press statement.
The approval has been received for several key documents which cover the entire mine life of the Iron Project and include the Environmental Impact Analysis (ANDAL), Environmental Management Plan (RKL), and Environmental Monitoring Plan (RPL).
“We have been working closely with our Indonesian partners and the regional government on the AMDAL process for three years now and this approval reflects the cooperation brought to the process by all sides,” Hacon added.
Indo Mines has recently sold its Mangkok Coal Project, South Kalimantan to focus on the Jogjakarta Iron Project. Rajawali Group, a company controlled by Peter Sondakh, has acquired substantial shares in Indo Mines and controls 19.9% ownership in the company. ([email protected])
