I have been categorising the 'smart money' in a homogenous grouping but of course you are pointing out the index funds have a big influence on price! Like you have said I find the weighting justifications out of my understanding and these funds will do what drives them and I can only see the footprints left behind. For reasons unknown and will probably remain so for me besides hindsight, I can "see" where they have been betting within the sector. One of them SAR, had me preempting the top as I decided to take the cap gain at the time was justifiable but hindsight taught me to never pick a top in a bull run!
A profit is a profit but at the expense of a "tweaked" philosophy is not a way to stick to a strategy unfortunately for me. I am interested in another of your holding, a lithium play, missed that pullback in mid April by 5cents on the limit order but seems at this stage another potential for me to get on board if my expectation is permitted. Best of the bunch from a chart perspective.
