Interesting article Lverty. I've always been a tad wary of the use of the term peak or mine supply topping out etc. Remember peak oil ? or that Sydney was going to run out of water by 2007 !
Whilst it does take a relatively long time to commission mines and produce gold I think that as prices increase - for whatever reasons at the time - miners and their capital backers will always find new mines and or refurbish existing and go deeper underground etc .
However I am happy to have this view percolate into the minds of people as another reason to hold or invest in gold miners as well as the obvious adding to the price drive higher for gold over time.
Bring on $1500 !... oh...and 70c AUD
