If we get a few more days of these massive sell off in a row, I’m not sure any sector will play defensive and hold value. Panic selling is a very fragile human sentiment/emotion.
My main concern is the tit for tat tariff responses from US major adversory, China, then it’s all joining the party of protectionism. Turnbull govt bringing on online shopping with GST and talk of a surcharge. Your Bellamy and Blackmore will be singled out by Chinese for response. If they keep this up to the bottom, what about a surcharge for dirty coal or lower quality IO? We are the meat in the sandwich and I don’t intend to go vegetarian!
