Yes, got to agree with this, many catalysts of charting from just a few years ago now have changed, well basically many have been messed with by algorymthic trading programs so a reset of charting practices is a reasonable thing to consider and indeed act upon.
Ive been a proponent of gaps, especially with NST over a number of years now but the exactness of such studies has now been expanded with quite a tolerance to either side of any target once set.
I also think we are going to see a reset of pricing of POG to the downside momentarily for the same reasons mentione above by you guys.
Interesting hoqw NST did in fact halt the slide after closing that major gap at 3.87 the other day and has steadied since.
I think the only charting paradigm left for me to move on a stock now is a very basic one of absolute change in sentiment, in other words, confirmation of trend using higher highs and or lower lows.
Its about the only one left that does not seem to be "trashed" by algos these days and still seems to back trade reliably.
Hence, NST is now in a holding pattern very ST with slightly longer term direction still bearish.
Until I see a clear direction in sentiment, I shall remain sidelines with AJ (although still holding a free carry pos for laters).
Could go either way right now so either danger lurks or ecstasy lures.
The one thing to steady ones thoughts with NST is when she swings and it's conformed by that higher high, there is still opportunity to strike a pos and ride a decent range.
