at a great cost?
How much is the cost, how do you know it is a great or otherwise?
Bringing the company own rig and fixing it does not sound like a bad idea to me.
It gives them flexibility especially they also have a small lab on site.
Integrated many elements together!!
Can you show us a link to the cost of bringing the rig and fixing it? or are we guessing here?
