on a more serious note (and it may be off topic) - and hence maybe the wrong forum
the gif that watso used, had to be 30k (or less) to meet hc guidelines). from memory, the origins of the gif, was a swf thingy, which watso captured, using some screen capture program. from memory, the original capture was about 10 frames, yet, when it was converted into some other thingy (maybe a dv file), there were about 80 frames.
ok - to get the gif, the first step was to capture (watso used xvid cap) a swf file, which created a avi clip - after that, watso used avidemux, which watso used to get rid of stuff that was not relevant - and then he used kino, to save each individual frame (all of a sudden - the 10 frames became 90 frames) - which had to be cut down to half a dozen frames (to meet the 30k limit) - watso then used GIMP, to make a gif thingy - and finally, used mtpaint, to include a few extras (probably could have been done in gimp)
the question is - how would someone do this in windows????
