I'm quite new to investing (started with small amounts in February, at the time was called brave for entering market when the world was appearing to fall apart) but I have learnt that over time things do work out and valuable lessons are learnt from the mistakes - still a bitter memory of losing on Timbercorp and sitting on an 80% paper loss on AXM, but overall it's a very worthwile exercise and there are great rewards for not panicking when everyone else is.
