This is Mr Lincoln Augustus, first second cousin of Holymagiman.
Another early morning in Kingston, the clock is barely showing 4.30 am and it is still quite dark, but we are all awake because that is the best time to be going fishing.
That has always been the best time to go fishing, to go fishing in the dark, for one never knows what unspeakable thing one will find in the bottom of the net when one is trawling in the dark for all things fishy.
And we make our own way to find our own shoals of fish, for we trust not many to guide our boat with honesty and intergrity.
And a time with trusted friends in a creaky boat that may or may not be lost is far more pleasurably than having to endure the dubious fishy odour of some who claim to be pilots of boats who have their devious grubby hands on the tillers of certain other boats.
And if truth be known, some of these pilots sometimes have questionable motives, leading the unwary innocents away from the fishing grounds and onto the rocks like so many Sirens so that their mates could have the pick of the fishing unimpeded. Totally deplorable, but sad to say, that exists around our fishing grounds, and one has to be mindful of this and watch out for the rocks, the sharks and the Sirens singing their repetitive songs.
But enough of our fishing tales for I must bore you kind readers with my non-ending thoughts on fishing, but alas, that is about all we are good for here, except of course for Holymagiman, who has become somewhat of a very good grower of greens.
And I must say that those greens are unique in the extreme, with a softness of skin that belies their inner subtleness that makes many a grown man weep. And also many a fine woman, I hasten to add, before I am too quickly liberated.
So, to take my mind of fishing in the dark, (and it won't be for long, for I can see the day breaking and things will hopefully emerge more clearer with the passage of time) I thought it might be a good idea to be reading the transcripts of that Orion meeting that happened recently while sitting in the boat watching out for the rocks and the sharks.
From what I can gather, it was a most civilised meeting, with questions being asked and Mr Langusch and Mr Morton (in a truly genteel fashion, I hasten to add) providing the answers that truly dazzled and amazed everybody present by the elements of their depth and profoundity and lucidity.
Ans so my friends, I was wondering if some, if not all, of you could be so kind as to contact Mr Russell Langusch, the Managing Director of Orion and to ask him for a full written transcript of everything that was discussed, debated and said at that meeting, for Baboo Runchik says that it is common practice to have everything said at such meetings recorded here.
And we are positive that Mr Langusch will be so pleased that you asked and he will fall over himself to get that full transcript into your hot little hands as quickly as possible, for we are of the opinion that he would want you to be fully and thoroughly informed about everything that happened at the meeting.
And by reading the full transcript, all of you can be fully informed about the full glory of that meeting and how well it was conducted and you can find out for yourselves the efforts that both Mr Langusch and Mr Morton went to ensure that the shareholders present were given the information they needed to know.
For why bother to hear about the meeting second hand when you can read everything for yourself first-hand.
And then the family would be most grateful if you could please post the transcript, in all its glory, on this site so that us people in far away Jamaica can read it and feel calm and reassured when the pangs of doubt put their groping fingers under our blankets in the early hours of the morn.
We are sure that Mr Russell Langusch, the Managing Director of Orion (who knows, in our opinion, everything there is to know about the company and the true actual value of its assets and the true actual value of the assets that Orion is getting from GGX, as he is the managing director of Orion and he is ex-director of GGX) and that is a very important position in the company, should be most pleased to provide you with all the transcript, so that you could read what he said and then you can read what Mr Dennis Morton said, and then you can read some of the really dumb questions they had to endure from some very dumb questioners and read the clear and very concise answers Mr Langusch and Mr Morton gave to these vexatious questioners, so that any fears that you may be having about the quality of the present Orion Board that carefully oversees your investment in the company will be swiftly allayed.
And Baboo Runchik was telling me that if, for whatever reason, such a full written transcript is not forthcoming from Orion, then it can be applied for under the Freedom of Information Act.
I have no idea what he means by this Freedom Of Information Act, but I think he is referring to what Lulu Gobina does in the final stages of her act in the Purple Pussycat Basement Club Bistro. It is said that all the patrons come out very happily fully informed, that's what Baboo Runchik tells me
So please call Mr Russell Langusch on
Telephone: +612 9254 9010 Mobile: 0411 725 858
and he will surely clarify any doubts or queries that you may have in the same calm, open and totally informative manner that he is said to have conducted himself at the meeting.
It is best that every share holder call him personally to allay any fears they may have and to perhaps have a little chit chat with him about Orion, because from what little I heard about that meeting, Mr Langusch said that he was always available on the phone to shareholders.
And I am sure that he will only be too glad to give every one of you who rings him the transcripts of the meeting so as to once and for all disprove the few malcontents who have sometimes raised their voices in dissent at the impeccable way that meeting was conducted by Mr Langusch and Mr Morton.
I have been assured that Mr Langusch and Mr Morton are two of the best people any company shareholder could have to oversee his/her investment in the company, with great openness and honesty and a disposition to always put the rights and well bearing of the shareholders in any company they lead ahead of their own interests if a conflict of interest ever arose.
But I have to be going now, for the boat calls and a very fishy smell is pervading the room in a most unpleasant manner. Hoping to read your transcript soon, so that all of us here can all be feeling calm and not alarmed.
Blessing of the Lord MLA
