Yes it does make you wonder what was happening in the research lab ( for years) that they were progressing as they must have had something positive in a petrie dish, invitro etc you would have thought.
If nothing positive in a petrie dish , invitro then why would you proceed or it was a ???? from the start. Specifically in regards to ocular if there was positive response was it the same tissue response in other wounds and in ocular did they compare it to standard of care.
You really want to know if they ever went back to original science and tested previous management and university claims and reproduced them ? Would seem obvious in hindsight knowing the issues surrounding the inventor, university and technology as the common sense approach along with targeting specific segment of population , wound for trial rather than wide open trial without the numbers to support any subset.
Clouded by studies rather than trials.
