Tas, you maybe a genius now, yet a fool tomorrow. Who knows. From one week to the next I am either a fool or a genius... This is the game for a small cap stock picker.
It is a gutsy move to buy into stocks with a supposed tax looming to punish the producers ATM...
I am still amazed however at the over reation from the market and I WILL buy into the fear... Stupid maybe- time will tell.
Maybe a mid 50s trigger to buy up even, as it will shoot up again when the Super Tax is proved to be a non event for IFE and TRF. Yet I am overweight in this stock- probably Obese very soon...
In the ST you need to be gutsy to buy yet maybe rewarded accordingly. Not for the faint hearted ATM.
To see 59.5c when my Average out buy is 74c is not pretty. Also being very heavy in this small cap does not help.
Yet I will break my trading rule for this company alone- as opposed to selling off half at 60c stop loss hit, as planned. I will buy into the TAXATION fear. I have that feeling.
Yet we may see 50c before we see 80c again in the ST- IMO.
My portfolio looks fairly sick currently due to TRF and IFE. No real support from others as yet to prop up my losses... So not the best of feelings currently. Yet if i sell I now I will regret as the Super Tax fails and the government will pay for this move- IMO...
Yet every trader needs to make their own judgement call whether to buy or sell. It a flip of the coin for many- IMO. Yet this Super Tax will 1) Never get through 2) Never affect developing companies like IFE and TRF. As Australia's future depends on these small caps becoming mid caps to create more jobs, etc. No way Mr Rudd- this will not fly.
Thus I buy whilst all sell off all or a portion of their play. Genius or stupid- time will tell... Buying into fear in Jan 2009 worked, yet not in mid 2008.
TRF still undervalued compared to investments- yet you are correct if IFE falls dramatically so to does TRF. ROL is more of a LTer which maybe HUGE in the distant future. ROL will play out over years not months unfortunately. IFE and TRF will play out over months not years for better or worse.
IMO- DYOR.
