What I would really like to know is the strength of the immune response.
No serious side effects is important (critical at this stage), but the cancer active immunisation field is littered with trials that don't cause any side effects, but also that don't work that well either. People have found it very hard to achieve a good immune response in advanced cancer patients against a self-protein. The strength and consistency of the immune response is critical.
Where people have been getting some interesting results of late is this area is using a 1-2 approach with the immune checkpoint inhibitors. You actively immunise against proteins expressed in the tumour to get some immune response and then you unleash the immune system on the cancer by using PD1 or PD1L inhibitors.
What I would really like to know is the strength of the immune...
