I doubt we will ever see these guys in the press again. They refuse to be interviewed by the press never mind investigators.
It's a piss weak attempt at an explanation which shows how they really didn't have time to get the backstory in place... even after a week there is still little info.

What is laughable is the Russian Duma appears to have absolutely no power to investigate this to restore Russian credibility. It exposes the country as a total dictatorship. It is going to do HUGE damage to Russian relations with the west for decades, esp as they are still making lame attempts to cover it up instead of throwing an operations commander into jail.
