The Federal Environment Ministry has been promoting 2012 as part of the National Climate Initiative using highly efficient mini-CHP plants in a power range up to 20 kilowatts of electrical power. On January 1, 2015, the amended Directive shall enter into force on the promotion of cogeneration systems up to 20 kW of electric power in power. As a result, the basic funding be increased in the low power range, introduced bonus promotions for highly energy efficient mini-CHP systems and simplifies technical requirements.
As part of the amendment mini-CHP incentive program in the future, there is a mini-CHP support of three conveyor components. The base fundingwill help to achieve maximum market penetration of highly efficient and flexible mini-CHP plants. The rates for smaller plants may be increased by up to 40% in order to improve efficiency in the smallest performance segment. But 20 kW systems obtained from 2015 higher by about 10% base funding.
Head of the base funding pursuant mini-CHP Directive
To create an impetus for more efficient energy supply, two additional conveying elements are introduced. The bonus promotion "heat efficiency" is to contribute to the increased use of condensing heat exchangers in mini-CHP plants. Mini-CHP systems, which use condensing technology in hydraulically balanced heating systems, receive a delivery surcharge of 25% of base funding.
The bonus promotion "power efficiency" should help make greater use of mini-CHP with very high current efficiency. This mini-CHP Directive provides impetus for the development and commercialization of new technologies with high electrical efficiency levels, such as fuel cells. Mini-CHP systems with high power efficiency obtained additional funding in the amount of 60% of base funding.
"The funds in 2015 increased compared to the previous mini-CHP support up to 160%," says Markus Gailfuß from CHP Resource Center. A micro-CHP system with 1 kW, which can take all bonus promotions in claim receives 3.515, - Euro.
Mini-CHP support in 2015
As part of the amendment also some administrative rules have been simplified. The basic structure of a two-stage process has been retained. Therefore, it is of particular importance to provide the funding proposal before the beginning of the action.
