Thanks MoneyBags, for the Kinder Morgan Pipeline insight. Seems there's more involvement than a simple hot tapping procedure. Competition is creeping up on Magnolia, for sure! Golden Pass (also referred to as Port Arthur LNG, I believe) is a local hot topic right now. It is located within 3 miles of Cheniere LNG, just across the Louisiana border, in Texas. It is already pre-constructed as an import facility, just as Cheniere and Cameron LNG both were, so these facilities seem to make most sense to convert to export facilities, since import to the US will likely NEVER be needed again, so without export consideration these existing sites are basically useless and domed for shutdown. One more pre-constructed import facility exists (Lake Charles LNG, formerly known as Trunkline LNG), and this site is the one right next to Magnolia, sharing the same deep ship channel. All other competitive projects on the books have no existing facilities in place yet, just like Magnolia. As far as capacity rights to Magnolia, I'm hoping that the ASX release on 29 January 2014 (Capacity Agreement between Magnolia and Kinder Morgan) guarantee all the Gas needed. Not sure about the additional 0.8 recently added and association with Kinder Morgan, but I have seen the required FERC filing for the increase. Again, your research and insight is appreciated. We are all in this chase, together!
