Frankie thank you for continuing to provide valuable information about our gulf coast competition and supply, it goes a long way to making informed investment decisions.

Champee, you and I might be in sync, I have been researching Foxconn and their joint venture with IDG lately and wondering about a number of scenarios such as Foxconn building a new manufacturing plant for Apple phones and accessories in the US, how it could employ thousands in the US and how this might affect the trade talks and Magnolia.

Foxconn is an electronics manufacturer and IDG an investment company, forming a joint venture looking to provide logistics into the energy (LNG) sector. As far as BTA’s, they are up against Chinese state owned energy companies and other gas majors based in Europe and the US.

Foxdog, yesterday you posted (on another thread) “Spot on - 8.8 could be swallowed by this arrangement and re-distributed to multiple buyers on mainland China”

Foxconn’s logistics proposes to optimise distribution via its container transport network using road vehicles and ships to transport its containers. This method is in its infancy. Have you worked out the amount of ships and road vehicles it would take to shift 8.8mtpa of LNG and the costs involved. Here’s some figures for you:

LNG carriers / tankers carry 143,000 - 266,000 cubic metres

The largest LNG containers (40 ft) hold 43.5 cubic metres of LNG (17.25 tonnes)

That means you need to transport 3000 - 6000 containers to match one LNG carrier.

From here you can work out how many containers it would take to transport 8.8million tonnes!!!!!!!!

Here’s a quick way, multiply it by 1,000,000 the halve it.

I know the container manufacturers market them as a lower cost solution but these containers are designed for limited volume requirements, not 8.8 million tonne worth.

The rampers are out in force again, Foxdog just wondering if you are just another one on these threads who is trading the company and posting unresearched and unreliable comments in an effort to push up the SP for your own gains, at least Ricky follows his posts with ’imo’.

Please do some research, back it up with facts, and prove me wrong!!!!
