I see Franklin Resources has appeared as a 14% shareholder in the 'post apocalyptic' BBI, soon to be PIH.
They are a very large worldwide US based fund manager. This must have been the people who bought the large amounts of BEPPA in the run up to the voting on Nov 16.
As far as I am aware they were not one of the nominee companies with ties to RBS.
In fact, given that 98% of BEPPA votes were for the deal, it appears that NONE of the so called RBS friendly nominee companies that appeared on the BEPPA register were actually RBS friendly at all.
Whoever was suggesting this was obviously suffering from 'make it up as we go along' syndrome.
