    Hi Ninja Tuna,

    Both statements can be true.

"However higher temperatures in MH does not lead to lower dissolved oxygen levels."

Higher water temperature reduces the maximum possible dissolved oxygen in the water (before supersaturation) Cooler water can contain a considerable  higher amount of dissolved oxygen.

"Within the harbour, based on monthly data only, water temperatures do not appear to have increased during the period of greatest DO (dissolved oxygen) decline"

The dissolved oxygen decline was not due to increased water temperature (but is cased by other reasons not specified in your quote) It does not suggest that higher water temperature would not cause a decline in dissolved oxygen.

I totally agree with Klogg's statment

With all that said, higher temperatures in MH (and the resulting low oxygen levels) are still a real risk that the company must be aware of.
