It's good to be cautious.
But on the other hand ..
IMF was another stock that was only trading at a p/e of 3x or so (about 65 cents when i was considering it around October 2008 when the share market was still performing ), that no-one was interested in buying.
i ignored IMF as a result, didn't buy it myself.
now check IMF's share price... it's tripled while the market has pulled back since October 2008.
I'm hoping this is the IMF I missed out on, but then again with my luck who knows, although I can't personally fault it?
