I do not hold so it doesn't affect me but what does affect me is how a $1 stock, a company that was very profitable only last year is suddenly not worth supporting by a major bank, which will make it harder to convince other major banks to step in.
In the old days syndicates were used, risk was shared and companies in difficulties were given assistance and support to recover.
In my opinion allowing behaviour like this to go on is like closing down all the hospitals and shooting people dead when they become ill.
