All pair are targeted by big players so there is no advantage in picking a pair with lower volume of transactions. In fact, the more Liquid the pair, the safer it is to trade which is why most experts tip the Major pairs as the best to trade.
It is better to trade a pair that is heavily manipulated by a big player 100% of the time over a Exotic Pair that is only manipulated 50% of the time. The reason is the moves will be consistent and more tradeable, setups will have a higher win rate.
However saying that, I am looking to trade pairs where I can see their manipulation very easily and where I can understand what there plans are. Pairs I have on my M1 Charts are -
