Yeah I had a lot of issues - couldn’t get it to retain the data after relaunch and offline charts wouldn’t pick up any history logs, no idea why - perhaps because i’m using pepperstone, haven’t tried IC yet (couldn’t be bothered applying).

Also, wasn’t convinced on it because the data ranges seemed small and I have no idea about the quality of TVI data.

I am currently downloading Dukascopy data (through QuantDataManager platform) which I have heard is pretty good, but is taking ages to download because i’m not paying for it lol - when that’s finished and I have that platform setup I’m actually going to try set that TVI data up too and compare the results of running the same EA through both - then see which was more accurate when compared to live demo results. I think it will be interesting to compare these two, and the EA tester results, on every EA I launch just before I launch it to get a benchmark and see how much of a difference quality data really makes or if it’s only marginal - will share back if i get any valuable insights, otherwise until then i’m just hoping it’s worth it and happy to play around in EA labs and tester as still lots to learn there (you could probably launch EAs on tradeview alone? would just be annoying given their reporting constraints and no stepped optimisation).

End of the day, all things being equal, I would rather have the option that gives me the longest data range as that then opens more in and out of sample testing strategy options, but going too far back such that the markets were fundamentally different and offer no vaue (or worse do harm to your backtests).

Just re read some of that - been listening to too many podcasts I think lol, I’ve gone data crazy
