Similar start to my journey I sourced two external EAs and ran them live, one blew up 50% nearly and the other like 30% - both after 3 months and 9 months respectively of solid, consistent, performance data. Blows me away that some of EAs selling had such big flaws and poor management but in retrospect that's what I deserve for trying to "jump start" that journey.

Always my intention to build and run my own EAs, issue is I'm a discretionary ASX trader not an Fx trader so had no strategy/ no idea where to start or what to build... Holidays over for me soon so my this year is to get one ore two EAs off the ground, after proper demo testing, not to make massive profits but even a 10% return or something nominal I would be happy with as a first step to prove to myself I have got at least the basics right. I plan on going easier on ASX too so should have more time to learn over the next few months at least.
