Have you ever tested the EAs from market place and used them outright / adjusted to suit? Or do you build them ground up in EA labs?


I've been testing some of the free EAs in market but unable to arrive at the same results as their screenshots during my back testing, but I assume that is due to them being free and very basic, but not sure if any of the paid options are worth it or just all going to end up the same for me with failed test results - still a lot of platform features and settings I need to familiarize myself with... on the fence as to whether I should start my EA journey in the market and learn from there, or start from ground up and code my own.

If you have any views on the stuff in market place I would appreciate your 2 cents!
