TwoHands if that's true about MT5 I would have thought the obvious way around that (if you wanted to hedge a market in MT5) is to do that via 2 separate accounts or 2 separate brokers.
Rick, from a cost/benefit perspective I totally agree there would have to be a benefit of using MT5 to justify the pain of migrating from MT4. However there is also the risk management perspective that perhaps one day MT4 will be phased out which will force the issue, so it may to plan ahead for that contingency. For the same reason, while I am obviously a fan of EA Labs, I think it is risky to totally rely on a single provider's platform and so convenient as it is for me as a non-programmer, I plan at some stage to learn MT4 or MT5 coding so I have a "EA platform contingency" at least as a back-up.
I have learned from my business experience in manufacturing it always pays to have at least 2 sources of supply for any product / raw material - I see the same issue in this business with brokers & platforms.
