Yes indeed - I'm a firm believer of "if things are that easy, everyone will do it", so if we want enjoy the benefit of making money while sleeping, we'd have to put some hard work at the early stage.
At demo testing stage, I think re-testing eats up most of my time rather than fixing or enhancing the EAs.
Take the Daily Breakout model as an example, initially I only had 10 products trading on the daily timeframe and when I put it on the demo account, it's hardly taking any trade, obviously because it has to wait for the daily bar to complete. The solution was quite simple since Sharks had pointed out he's traded on both H4 and H1, but that means I'll have to test 30++ products on each timeframe and the day is easily gone, usually takes 8 hours for me to complete the test for each timeframe.
Sometimes for other models when you add more products into your portfolio, the result might only improve a little and I certainly felt frustrated after spending whole day testing but that's part of the process.
Anyway back to testing. Trade View has just released a new "Follow the Trend" model today so lets see if it's doing any better than my current one.
