    Hi Rick

I understand what you are saying, that is why I have become a convert to automation because I can see what value having that capability can bring to me as a trader, its very powerful (whether with EA Labs or wth C+).

If anyone is going down that path I would always advocate that they develop the capability for themselves because that makes them self-sufficient in having the ability to modify EA's over time (to fix bugs for example) or develop new EA's when they have new strategy ideas or in response to changes in market dynamics. It is good business practice to have in-house capability wherever possible from a cost and IP perspective.

But if developing an in-house capability is not possible for whatever reason, there is always out-sourcing, and one option is paying a programmer of course. I am not suggesting that but an idea I'm happy to float is a collaboration - an EA in exchange for agreed access/usage rights to a good strategy - either in a group forum here or separately or between individuals.

The idea of collaboration was the reason I started sharing the process of developing that Daily HA strategy you shared here on this forum (and btw the intention was that when that EA is finished, or the version in the form I am already testing in demo mode and shown test results for over the last week, is something I am happy to share the code with any of the regulars here who are interested in testing and using it for themselves - just let me know).

Something to consider - if not interested in that option I won't be offended, while I think there are mutual benefits to be obtained from collaboration if done right, as I said before there is good strategic sense in developing an in-house capability to become self-sufficient.

    Cheers, Sharks
