Bossplaya, betting on bounces from bearish engulfers the odds are against you imo. Its just a small sample, but just picked the EU and found 8 examples in the daily chart below and the odds are twice as good betting on a 50% further fall as betting o a 50% bounce:
Probably if a much larger sample were taken the ratio wouldn't be 2:1 but I am sure they would still be better betting on the continuation.
