Hi Rick, recently I've been paying more attention to the role of large candles, specifically those (a) where there is several candles consolidating behind them and (b) where those consolidating candles close within the range of those large candles. I think that sounds a lot like how you describe master candles. Once price eventually breaks and closes outside the range of those large candles that seems to be a pretty good indication of the short term direction. I'm looking on H12 though. I like this timeframe for several reasons I've stated before, but one reason is the higher prevalence of larger candles and outside candles, due to the PM candles having a larger range on average than the AM candle.
