The G8 contract expires on June 30, 2009, however a decision and notification of that decision has to be made public around February / March 2009.
Just as the recent DOTARS announcement was made in April, but does not come into effect until June 30, 2008. The G8 contract requires more notice as it is a much larger contract.
With regards to the G8 contract, as I have said before, it is inappropriate and probably illegal, for anyone to get on this forum and state "Commander will not win the G8 contract". In my opinion (and I haven't been wrong with regard to Commander once, in all of my past postings) Commander will not win the G8 contract back. In my opinion, Commander's name is held very poorly within Federal Government Outsourcing circles and when I say "poorly", I am being generous.

Tails
