The Phillips River project comprises three exploration licences covering about 340sq.km, around 100km east of Galaxy Resource’s Mt Cattlin Lithium Mine.
Pioneer discovered the project through Geoscience Australia’s Geochemical Atlas of Australia’s datasets.
Samples taken from the Lort River catchment in 2010 and 2012, by other exploration companies, contained the highest lithium value from a stream sediment sample ever recorded in Australia.
